Lockdown No2 - Day 27

The last few leaves left on the Smoke Bush...

The first day of Winter, and a beautiful crisp blue-sky day. With the last garden waste collection due tomorrow, and with nine healthy toes, I spent the day working in the garden: pruned the Smoke Bush and Grape Vine, made the vine prunings into the base for this year’s Christmas wreath (a future blip!), mowed the back lawn and put the troughs in the cold frame for Winter, even though the Geraniums, Lobelia, Begonias and Nemesia are still flowering (we’re due for some chilly nights).

Back indoors in the warm, it was time to open door number one on my Advent Calendar(s) (one of my six calendars in extras - don’t worry, only two are full of chocolate!), and light the Advent Candle.
