Catch the Rainbow

Not only does the title reference the subject, but the band who performed the track was......Rainbow! You wouldn’t believe how long I’ve been waiting for a decent rainbow photo so I could use that title (I think this lockdown may be getting to me lol!)
Actually it’s been quite a busy day today. As the freezer was at its lowest level for some time I decided to defrost it before the big food shop later on. And I’d sort of forgotten the shops would be opening up again today so was quite shocked by how many people there were in town when we got there. The papers were full of headlines predicting some sort shopping frenzy today (“Wild Wednesday”) but we weren’t going in any other shop besides M&S, so I don’t know how accurate that forecast was. Marks seemed to be only as busy as usual though the shelves were emptier than normal - maybe the hordes had been in before us.
As it dried up after lunch we went for a short walk around Foulshaw Moss Nature Reserve this afternoon. Very cold and not a lot of wildlife in evidence, but we were the only ones there, so quite pleasant being able to stroll about without having to dodge around other people. In spite of the hopeful news about the vaccine, my sister texted to say the 10K race she’d entered me in next March, has now been put back to July. I’m guessing they’re thinking that the sort of people who enter a 10K will probably be among the last groups to be vaccinated and might not even have had their first dose by March. Better safe than sorry though, and it does give me three months extra training. Might even be able to get a sub 60 minute time at this rate!
