Grasses in the late afternoon sun
Wednesday
It was a chilly start, having dipped down to the mid 20s F in the early hours. Unlike yesterday however, we had full sunshine and blue skies, and so by the afternoon the snow was fast melting. We had a trip up to IKEA this morning to get a few things, then stopped to get a Christmas tree on the way back. Some years it’ll take me quite a while to choose a tree, and we might try a couple of places, but today it was about the first tree we saw at the first place - a good size and shape and nice and full, with a decent top. By the time we’d returned and had a lunch of leftovers, it was gone 3pm before we drove over to Long Branch farm for a walk. As we were headed back to the car, I saw these grasses and plants in the light of the setting sun, and I thought they made an attractive image.
