Flannel Flowers

The other day Trisharooni alerted me to a crop of flannel flowers near Leura so we went looking for them on the way back from Sydney today. 
I thought they were tiny and didn't know if I would be able to find them but "2km along the dirt road" was exactly right.
You couldn't miss them. There were lots, and much bigger than I expected. I don't think I've ever seen them before.
As a bonus it was a lovely, misty day.

We briefly called on the twins who were looking more contented than yesterday. A couple of extras for those interested.
