Charlecote Deer
Spent a wet and chilly morning at Charlecote this morning near Stratford. We were able to meet up with Loosecanon and Technophobe and you can see them in one of the extras. We had a lovely bit of laughter and gossip with them while wandering around looking for deer and a dry seat. We found some deer but no dry seats! And it was chilly particularly as one of our number had no hat nor gloves...
The deer were distant but beautiful over the far side of the River Avon which we crossed by bridge. It was too cold for a swim. Then we wandered back for a welcome hot drink and mince pie which were devoured with rain dripping down our necks.
We had a good laugh about something, can't remember what exactly but I think it had something to do with Peter warming himself up on his heated steering wheel. Haven't laughed so much for ages. Thank you Peter and Jane.
AND thank you all for your responses to the wheelbarrows from yesterday. Those gave me a chuckle too. Serious topic wheelbarrows.
Stay safe in your tiers everyone.
The other extra shows the weir where two lots of water meet from the River Avon and a tributary which might be the River Dene but I am not sure about that.
