Beautiful First Saturday of the Month
This photo is of our backyard bonus -- Amaryllis (I think that's what it is called). Four or five more just like it are about to bloom. They are growing in a big bucket just below the hanging bucket with the calla lilies. The weather has been spring time gorgeous all day and we've both mentioned that run-a-way-itis has been nipping at us, but we stayed home and tried to get some tasks accomplished. I have spring fever at about 104.8 degrees. Next week at this time school will be out for one week -- woohoo.
Honestly, today's productivity would be difficult to measure:
--We had a delicious breakfast with a group of friends
--Stopped by my office to get a stack of student papers and discovered the parking lot next to my building has been fenced off and construction on the new Student Activities Building is scheduled to begin soon
--Took a quick look at Blip
--Did some reading with Mr. Fun
--Critiqued my granddaughter's essay for her college class
--Took another look at Blip
I need to
--grade my students' papers
--pay bills
--clean the house and pick-up the clutter
and I'm too tired to keep adding to this list. Sorry this is so uneventful. It has been a lovely "do nothing" day and I've enjoyed it and I'm thankful for the relaxed pace.
Good night from Southern California,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
