Joy-ous
That is today's prompt for the December photo challenge and it was obvious what my Blip would be!
But before that I had to be up early to be ready and in town for a 9.30 AM hair appointment. I was not relishing the walk as it was sleeting heavily, becoming full on snow at times. It was very, very cold! Of course I still only had the trainers bought in summer so once again I had ice cold feet all morning, and for a great deal of that time a cold, wet head too. My coat was soaked through which did not help.
I'd had the idea that I would have a proper look round the shops after my hair appointment. I was so cold that I did what I had to do and then came home to thaw out. At least my hair looks infinitely better than it did!
When I think about town it is Old Town I'm thinking of: relaxed, easy just to browse, look at things, try things on... But New Town is not like that! You have to wait outside to get into shops as they are busy. Once you're in you can't see anything through wet, steamed-up glasses due to the mask, and have to be vigilant not to get too close to others in the crowded aisles. Trying things on is not allowed so you have to weigh up the odds of a purchase leading to another trip to town to return things... It is not a pleasure any more.
Roll on that Vaccine!!
I did a daft thing this afternoon: I was putting a load of washing on when a parcel delivery person knocked. I collected the package, then went back to switch on the machine, not realising until well after the load was done that I had omitted to put in powder, Vanish or fabric softener. The whole lot is now back in the machine...
This evening once Bri was back from work we headed off into town to get Blips! It was much drier and warmer than earlier that is for sure!
