Rushing water

Woke to wet snow. It looked from the start that snow would compound the already mushy grass.  Headed to the market by bicycle hoping for ice-free roads. Main roads were fine while  side roads had trails of slush. Market busy and queues outside shops- probably start of Christmas shopping frenzy. The river was high, muddy and fast flowing.
After lunch as rain continuing decided to make cheese biscuits.  However when recipe started roll to 2cm thick thought that sounded a strange biscuit!  They emerged from the oven as scones.  Americans refer to scones as biscuits but it's not an American recipe book and has a scone recipe already. Heyho, I like cheese scones anyway. Took Murray for a squelchy, darkening walk just after 3.30pm.
This week has flown by.
Have a lovely evening. Stay safe everyone.
