Back on the Slab

I can't help thinking this would be a fabulous title for a book!

My first game back at the Shots for 9 months, when co-incidentally, Dagenham were the opposition.  Back then, they beat us 1-0 with a goal in the 85th minute.  Today, we were fantastic and were deservedly 2-0 up at half-time.  It could have been more, and had it been, we would have felt more comfortable in the second half as Dagenham came on strongly.  Our defence was magnificent, and despite conceding in the 90th minute, we held on for the three points.

So good to be back and to be able to catch up with Heather, Charlie, Bigg Z, Dave, Tim, Stephen and the rest of the Old Age Slabbers.  Can't wait for Tuesday!
