Queen Elizabeth Oak

This very old oak tree is on Cowdray Park, on the edge of Midhurst.  It is allegedly somewhere between 700 and 1,000 years old and apparently Queen Elizabeth 1 stopped inside it to seek shelter when the tree was approaching it's middle age.  It's certainly showing signs of middle age spread!
