Sunday: Green

We said that yesterday was our blue day.  Everything, the sea, the sky, was blue blue blue. Today was green’s day.  Everything was green and ferny and mossy.  Personally, I like the word ‘fecund’, but I always snort like an adolescent 13 year old when I say it.

Anyway, that’s all by the by.  We did some good long walks today - first on the Homesite Creek Trail where we walked through to the waterfalls.   Then we went for a second long walk at Selma Creek, down to the waterfalls.  We thought we’d gone wrong because we didn’t see how there could possibly be waterfalls, but there they suddenly were......

But that wasn’t all.......we admired the falls, enjoyed the scenery, turned round..........and came face to face to with a cougar.  For the record, K. shrieked an expletive and hid behind me......We all stared at each other for a few minutes before the cougar retreated...........suffice to say, that everyone we met on the trail afterwards was told of our bravery in how we combatted the feline predator.........

On a lighter note, we headed back to ‘Batch 44 Brewery’ tonight.  Excellent beers, particularly their ‘Lonely Giant IPA’, but their Bayou Bite Burger was probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had......
