Sunset.

We put up some Christmas decorations in the conservatory this morning. We don’t usually, but we’re using the adjacent back garden more as the coronavirus restrictions allow only outdoor visiting, and we thought it should be a bit festive.

The First Minister confirmed at the daily briefing that the coronavirus vaccine vaccinators will receive their first jag tomorrow; we know of several NHSScotland staff who will be inoculated tomorrow.

The snow on the hills across the valley was noticeable ....when we drove to the Council Waste site with our old carpet. We manage to recycle through the kerbside collection but this was a different matter. And afterwards, when we were having a walk late afternoon, the sun set and the colours deepened. We spoke of my father when we walked; he died this day in 1993. We saw several gritters on the way home - another cold night is forecast.
