Mystère when he hears the fridge door open. Out of luck this time; he doesn't like goat's cheese. I have already decided I like this 25 mm lens much better than the 45 mm for indoor photography; the minimum focal distance is 25 cm. Also this photo is ISO 2000 with no noise reduction or sharpening. Better large.

We are all skulking indoors around the fire again as the weather is grim. Outlook grim on other fronts too: Br*x*t, and the prospects of a relaxation of lockdown on 15 December. Cases are not coming down fast enough.

I went shopping in the morning and made a Tunisian shakshuka for lunch. In the afternoon I tried a new cake recipe for a Scottish marmalade cake. It is ... robust. Both dense and crumbly. Tastes good though, with a crunchy topping (extra). It's rather unfortunate that lack of choir practice means we have to get through all the baked goods ourselves.

We just miiiiight ... start another season of Detectorists tonight!
