The New Underpass

How very considerate to put a walking underpass beneath the busy A591 Kendal to Windermere road.  OK, its really for the farmer  to get his animals across the road without having to stop the traffic, but walkers are very pleased to be able to use it. 

Covid 19 update. The first day of the UK vaccination programme.  Over 80s with hospital appointments are being done first. Mum doesn't  have any hospital appointments, I wonder when she will get the call,. 

Lockdown 2 is over.   Cumbria is in Tier 2 which means households can't mix indoors. But we're a hardy lot so 6 Tuesday walkers met at Wilfs café  in Staveley and had lunch outside.
