Playa Icacos Ruins

It is my wife's birthday today and as a present she wanted to go exploring. We took a couple of friends from the complex, another photographer and a Spanish speaker, and headed south. Our Spanish speaking buddy has been coming to this area for years and knows where to find off the grid beaches and villages. He treated us to a number of places we wouldn't have found on our own, including Playa Icacos, which he told us had been damaged by a flood a couple of years ago. The flood wiped out the suspension bridge to this section of the beach and did a number on this beachside building. He tells us this beach is popular with locals on the weekends and the rest of the time is pretty much deserted like we found it today.
