Nut Who?
I know it’s the holiday season but no, this is not a Nutcracker, it is a Nuthatch! A red-breasted one to be precise. He is Christmasy just the same because his underside is the color of cinnamon, a popular spice during the holiday season • He is unique because he’s able to catch insects mid-air (his version of takeout) and unlike chickadees and other songbirds that use their feet to hold food, these cuties secure food in tree crevices instead. All use their beaks to break up food, of course • We are zooming along on our cards, and a couple of gifts also arrived. There’s even some light snow on the way. Oh, My, I think our hearts have grown three sizes today! • Good Luck working on your own To-Do Lists! Ho-Ho-Ho!
