Waiting for Sally

A gloomy day but it warmed above freezing so I took advantage to chop and remove ice from our walkway, around the mailbox, even on the car. I will do the same the next two afternoons to clear the way for the next storm Saturday night • We finished cards today, leaving gift wrapping and mailing packages as the only things left to do! Like Santa, we will be checking our list once more to ensure we have not forgotten anything or anyone. Not even a furry or feathered friend • Our neighbors across the street stopped by while I was outside to inform they are leaving for Florida next week until May. Normally they would have departed in October but this year they stayed to celebrate the holidays with family. With only two weeks to go they said they couldn’t take it anymore - Lol! I guess boots and jackets need to be replaced by shorts and sandals as soon as possible. I find it to be quite amusing! • Oh, well! • Keep joy in your hearts, no matter your outer attire ;)
