Going round the bend...

Well several bends, twists and turns today.  3 of the Buspass Walkers caught 2 buses and walked up to Dowley Gap to meet the other half of the group.  A pleasant and not too muddy walk to Hirst Wood, seeing fellow community choir members for a quick chat long the way. Crossed the canal and walked past a very full flowing river to walk up to Milner Field.  A look around the ruins, and then back to the main road and down to where some of the group had parked their cars.  This was the view from a bridge over the canal - the towpath seemed pretty quiet today.  With the walk back to the bus stop and then walking up from the village 13,000 steps were racked up so not a bad total for the day.  Got home and warmed up, then cooked a curry which has been frozen for future use - think I may have overdone the spices!
