Momday

Started the day with community choir on Zoom. Rang the GP surgery and finally got an appointment for my review and battery of blood tests - but not until the middle of January. Waited a while for the postman as I knew I had some parcels due.  No sign, so set off to the post office to buy some stamps for my big pile of Christmas cards.  Realised on the way down that I hadn’t bought a card for my brother-in-law’s birthday - it falls on Christmas Day so often he misses out.  There was a long queue for the Post Office, so I decided to walk to the garden centre first for the card.  Had a good look around, and had a word with a local chap who said he hadn’t been going out as he didn’t feel safe (whilst wearing his mask under his nose!).  Couldn’t get all I wanted, but at least I got a card.  As I left there was a lovely rosy glow in the sky, so this was the best shot I got of the sun going down over the local farmland.  Back in the village there was still a long queue for the Post Office - nearly half an hour to get in, but I stayed as I am guessing that it will be similar every day now,  Chap in front of me had 12 parcels to send!   By the time I got home it was dark, and I was frozen!   No parcels had arrived whilst I was out.  :-(.
