Fire Sequel

This morning, I had a chance to look at the damage from yesterday's fire in daylight. 'Wow' is all I can say. Nothing left, except a big pile of rubble. Fire trucks kept coming back periodically, to douse the ambers, as in this picture. I'm told this will continue to simmer until the whole thing is bulldozed over -- after the investigations by the fire marshall and the insurance people.

I ended up staying up through the night, worrying about the flames that kept popping up occasionally. At 6am, I finally relayed over to my husband and caught a couple of hours of sleep. Time to head to bed soon.

A bright note in all this: oldest daughter is coming home for the weekend: yeah!
