A Soaker of a Day!

It was a day of meetings...all Zoom of course. It's been raining all day...I'd thought to catch a walk early this morning, but missed my opportunity and now it's pouring! So I took my umbrella and bundled up in a rain coat to go outside to the garden. I didn't even make it farther than the back garden where I found this lovely, very wet patch of hardy cyclamen. I do love them in the garden this time of year. I think their foliage is fascinating, and the slugs don't seem to eat it, added bonus! They'll sprout magenta-ish flowers at some point, but for now I'm just enjoying their lush green leaves.
