Muscles for Mussels and India Adieu
We are spending our last night near Chera Rocks, about two miles from our normal homestay where these fishermen were bringing their weighty catch ashore. They spend hours in the sea, diving to pull the mussels from the rocks, then placing them in a net suspended from an inflated inner tube.
Our last day in India was spent swimming in the warm sea after a morning bird walk. This last evening will be spent with our friends at Kannur Beach House with a special farewell meal. In return I will play a mournful Scottish tune called Farewell on my penny whistle and we'll start our long journey home...
