Jarbola

Today has been all about the Jarbola (and staying warm and dry..) 

We have to send in our Jarbola's tomorrow for school, basically, decorated jam jar's filled with goodies.  So we attacked the sticker collection and then made ginger biscuits in the shape of stars.  Lots of experimenting with the icing (first to thin, then too thick, then rescued by putting lots of decorations on top to try and make them look respectable.  They look as if a 4 & 5 year old have decorated them...). Lots and lots of dough mixture eaten by the boys as well. 

Puppy has had two good walks - and been let off the lead, which feels like a HUGE leap of faith and I need had kittens when he ran across a road.  Aside from that incident, it's better than on the lead, but needs a lot of work.  The dog training classes aren't running at the moment and we need them to start back up! 

Husband has got lots of little jobs done today, which is really good.  I feel like I've been in the kitchen all day! 

Today I'm grateful for: 
Getting our jarbola's done ready for school (as well as homework). 
The excitement of Christmas - is it tomorrow (said on a daily basis). 
The youngest telling the husband he is a hero for finding a long lost blue car toy
