Snowy shingles

Icing sugar snow,
On a gingerbread house roof.
A gentle dusting

Bitterly cold today. We had a light dusting of snow which settled on the cedar shingles on the roof of our house. Because they are wood, the shapes are slightly irregular. With the snow on top like this it does make me think of a gingerbread house - hence the rather naff haiku!

I also like the angles, of the shingles, of the roof , the gable end and roof gullies, but it does make your eyes go a bit funny if you look for too long.
