Waiting
In the blue twilight,
As night throws a spangled veil,
She waits for the one. *
Saturday: Had arranged to meet some of my cousins for a meal in the evening, but heard during the day that one of choirs Mark has coached, The Pink Singers, were to be singing at the V&A Museum in London as part of a Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender history month celebration. They were totally fabulous, unlike my shots of them which weren't due to taking the wrong lens - damn!
Afterwards we were waiting for a bus outside and I spotted this woman in her fashionable and fetching coat, waiting, waiting, waiting. We waited a long time and when the bus eventually came it was full and not letting people on (grrr). During that time I made up stories in my head about this woman and where she might be going, who she might be going to see etc.
I chose this image because I thought it had more of a story, even though this one (taken as we were being hussled out of the museum at closing time), is probably a better photo....
* actually she was waiting for the C1 bus, a bit of poetic license!
