Mr Woodpecker

We spotted this male woodpecker from our kitchen window this morning and fortunately he hung around long enough for me to grab my camera.
Later on, while out for a walk with a friend I spotted a jay too - good day for birdwatching! 
( Plus our treecreeper has been around this week too!)
