Deeply woven

This installation is at Liberton Northfield Church not too far from where we live.  It is the work of Jennifer Sturrock: as described in the newspaper article which drew this to my attention as. “multidisciplinary artist and designer”.


 
I first met Jennifer as a young child through Church some 25+ years ago and it is good to see her work developing.
 
The “deeply woven” message is to reflect the link between people and the divine.  As the extra shows it ties the ground into the church and the cords are illuminated in different colours over time.
 
It’s a pity that there are some significant roadworks going on adjacent to the church:  hopefully they will end before the installation does on 3 January.
