Covid Christmas

A morning of emails and waiting for parcels to be delivered.  Then off to look for a Christmas tree.  For, I think, the first time in 25+ years we have not been able to travel to our friends in Comrie to buy a Christmas tree from the selection they sell.

It has been a Christmas tradition to head up the road, have. a spot of lunch and catch-up, choose a tree then tie it to the roof rack I build with ladders and rope and then head back down the road with what looks like a large embalmed body on the roof.

As we cannot leave Edinburgh we had to source one locally.  Not as tall as the usual but at around 8 ft it will still look good.  Now to check the fairy lights.........

Late afternoon I went to our Church to take some photos of the sanctuary with the Christmas tree and decorations.  All the ones from the previous years have packed congregations and families present which will not be possible this year.  While there will be online activities it will not be the same.  So some photos without the congregation present seemed called for. A couple of extras: one showing a made up angel.

Evening spent getting hungry watching food programmes on TV.
