Sunrise Almost In The South

The period between sunrise and sunset is approximately 6 hours and 53 minutes give or take. The sun will continue to rise later for about another 6 days which is past the shortest day. Sunset will become later from about today.

I really do not like these wet winter days. Any glimpse of sun and blue skies is very welcome to me.

We are busy today writing a Heritage Assessment on one of our projects. Well, Pat is writing, whilst I check out facts and fantasy.

Today involved a trip out to check a fact which is in actual fact a fantasy. However I discovered a new fact in place of the fantasy.

Part of my trip out involved a visit to a rather ancient cemetery. Probably 1200 years old.

See the extra. This is the view from the entrance to the cemetery and all of the gravestones face east to the sun.

After my return and a very late lunch I was surprised to discover that one of the twelve hard disc drives that form the studio computer system was acting up.

After I ran a few diagnostic checks, it is very much on the way out. I do have a new solid state drive to take its place and replacing the old for new is straightforward. However, it is time that I would prefer to occupy myself with more pressing matters.
