Lights!

I really should have waited until it was darker to take a photo of our Christmas tree, but I’m so excited that it’s up, I couldn’t wait!

We have lights wrapped around our Palm tree (actually a cabbage tree, as one of my NZ blip pals pointed out) in the front garden and also decorating a giant bay tree out the back. This afternoon I also draped some foliage (ivy, dried hydrangea and pine cones) along the mantelpiece, so we’re almost ready for the Christmas festivities!

My two daughters arrive next week as we’re allowed to make a Christmas bubble of three households. There are plans to go wedding dress shopping! Did I tell you that number 1 peanut got engaged at the end of November? It looks like it may be a COVID-restricted wedding, though, as they’d like to get married in the Spring. So we have that very happy event to look forward to in 2021!
