This afternoon we went to the local nursery to buy plants, wreaths and candles for ourselves and as presents. After we squeezed in a walk with Stanley before the light faded away. I thought this creation of leaves, moss and fungi competed very well with offerings at the nursery - untidy but the fungi sprouting through the moss takes some beating. After the early morning walk, pilates followed by a saxophone lesson. A very enjoyable festive lesson based around Christmas tunes and a first for me to play the soprano sax in my lesson. The sun has shone today and the rain has been limited to some heavy drizzle for an hour or so this afternoon. Hopefully we will get some sun over the Christmas period.
The government continues to find new creative ways to contradict their instructions and to confuse. Schools are threatened with prosecution for deciding it is unsafe to remain open in the few days before Christmas and then are told not to return for a week after the Christmas break. And, you can travel but shouldn't travel.
