Not so secret

A glorious winter day - a frost, cloudless sky and bright sunshine. The perfect day for a walk across the moorland above the Washburn Valley with Jon. I had put on a number of layers expecting it to be cold, but the lack of wind meant that we soon became very warm.
The large white golf balls on the horizon are Menwith Hill, which is a 'secret' US tracking station. It is visible for miles around and from space but is not marked on maps to keep it secret. 
The North Shropshire by-election result gave another aspect to a perfect day, renewing my faith in democracy. No surprise that Johnson's conceit means that he still blames others for the clear message that the voters of North Shropshire have given him.
