This one is thin on the tree.

It is the Silverleaf fungus. Chondrostereum purpureum.

It is widespread but infrequent and found in our garden.
It grows on dead deciduous wood. When it grows on Cherry or Plum trees it causes Silverleaf disease on the foliage
