Dawn Chorus
There is nothing more enjoyable than the sound of the dawn chorus of birds on a bushveld morning.
In the hour around sunrise, we were treated to the contributions of around 15 different species, which included the following:
White-browed Robin-chat (Cossypha heuglini)
Red-faced Cisticola (Cisticola erythrops)
Emerald-spotted Wood-Dove (Turtur chalcospilos)
Little Rush-Warbler (Bradypterus baboecala)
Purple-crested Turaco (Gallirex porphyreolophus)
Yellow-fronted Tinkerbird (Pogoniulus chrysoconus)
