New Zealand red admiral butterfly

This butterfly was feeding on our white flowering gum, and I was keen to get a shot of it because it looked like a fresh specimen that hadn't yet lost too many of its scales, and certainly had no bits of wing missing. It didn't stay in one place for long, though, so this is the best I could do. The reason it continually moved on was because it was being harassed by a couple of very ragged looking yellow admiral butterflies. As soon as the red admiral settled, one of them would come along and move it on.
