Open wide!

This is a flower of kangaroo paw, Anigozanthos sp., that is growing in our garden. Most of the flowers are finished now, with just a few remaining.

I was trying to get a better image of the red admiral butterfly from yesterday. There were a couple hanging around the gum tree flowers again, but they were not in as good condition as yesterday's specimen. I did manage some shots of the butterfly' putting its proboscis down into the flower, but nothing that worked really well.
