What have we started?

A painter we use had a couple of days free because of a cancellation and he started a job for us. I’m wondering whether this job is going to be more complicated than 2 days work. :-{

I’ll attach an extra because our bathroom did have a very unique paper on the walls and ceiling, that was there long before we moved in 16.5 years ago, and was so bad, it was almost quirky. We did at least replace the avocado green loo, sink and bath ...

But it needed to be done, or at least it needed to be started.
