Star of Bethlehem

The two giants of Saturn and Jupiter are ‘coinciding’ for the first time in quite a long time. One of the few was around 5BC (give or take a year or so). It has been suggested that the conjunction at time, which to the naked eye looks like a single bright star, was what appeared at Christ’s birth. This was a very amateur snap on a tripod, hence the wobble in the extra zoomed pic, still, there they are. They are closest tomorrow, but as we had a clear sky just after sunset today, it was worth the try in case tomorrow is cloudy (very likely).
