Emotional Rollercoster

I didn't sleep well last night because I was trying to figure a way to make Christmas work. Reading that Boris is going to make it law rules it out for us and Toria would rather stay safe anyway being from a tier 3 area.

James decided to surprise Charlotte for her birthday tomorrow, by taking her away for a night to the Lake District. He said she had no idea where they were until he pulled up outside the restaurant near Penrith. She also hadn't a clue that Tom and I would be there too. We had a pleasant lunch on a covered balcony with patio heaters and blankets - all social distancing was observed. It was very quiet, lunch was tasty and it felt fabulous to get out. We pottered around the garden and shop before saying goodbye. They were heading off to Haweswater Hotel for the night.
