Down by the Lake
After a relaxed morning and a short yoga session we headed off for a walk, encouraged by sunlight on the hills. It was just after 1 o'clock and the sun had already gone down behind the hills to the south so we never saw the actual sun, but it still felt lovely with all the light around.
As I mentioned yesterday the lake has been ice-covered for a while now but the huge amount of rain that fell yesterday has raised the water-level so the edge is either open or only has the thinnest skim of ice, as can be seen in the blip.
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, the big day in Scandinavia and some other European countries. We have spent this day on our own a few times before, by choice, but for many it will be the first time, probably especially tough for people entirely on their own. Thank goodness for social media tools, telephones, netfilix and similar, and even TV!
