Festive Mantlepiece

I said last year that I had never properly festooned with greenery the mantlepiece.

Consider it done, albeit in an amateur fashion. There's a variety of evergreen according to the content of my front garden, tied together on a length of garden twine and I have dug out some tartan ribbon to brighten it up. I might improve the bows but it's late and my back is sore so this will have to do.

It took so long that I am way behind with preparations, though the turkey is oven-ready. All I need is my Delia's Christmas to calculate the timing - but it is still in Master Flum's house, where he is cooking his own, so I'll have to rely on memory.
