Yellow flowers

This morning was very busy getting everything ready for our lunch with my brother who was coming over again. It was quite cold and also very windy on this grey day so I was glad that he offered to give me a lift to the park after we'd finished our meal.

During my walk with Pacha, the sanctuary's male Rottweiler cross, I looked around for something to blip and spotted that this Forsythia and also another shrub that I don't know the name of had both started to flower. Coincidence or not, but the colour of both these first flowers was yellow.

I couldn't take any photos while I was walking Pacha so I went back afterwards and fortunately managed to get a shot of these Forsythia flowers when the wind dropped for a few seconds.

To my relief I didn't have to cough so much earlier today and although it has become worse again this evening, it's not yet as bad as it has been before. Hopefully it will stay like this the rest of the evening and night.

I have finally discovered the name of the tree that I blipped the pink flowers of on the 12th January. It is called a Persian Ironwood tree (parrotia persica).
