A shining light

on the gin bottle caused great hilarity!!! 

R & S were able to join us today and we did present opening with a great deal of laughter. The bottle of gin is from M&S and has golden snow when shaken, a bit like the toys that we had as kids. What we didn’t realise that there is a button on the bottom which switches on a light. 

Dinner went well, no cooking disasters I’m pleased to say. Plenty of leftovers, which were shared out to take home. 

This evening we met S’s family in Canada. Great to chat to his parents and sisters for the first time. The joys of modern technology, remembering the early days when there was a time lag making for disjointed conversations. A most enjoyable day.
