Christmas Cheer

After a spectacular dawn sky we planned a moorland walk followed by breakfast in the van.
After forgetting to take the turkey out of the freezer I was thinking it might be the only meal of the day!

At the last minute we were joined by good friends.
To be honest there wasn’t a lot of Christmas cheer. With only one of their four kids at home today they were feeling very down and really missing their usual Christmas.( as are many of our friends )
We all had a bracing, socially distanced walk and then back to the van for a glass of Bucks Fizz.
It was very cold standing around outside so JD made us all bacon sandwiches and hot drinks.
(I almost forgave him for Christmas outfit - his walking gear is legendary - modelled on Benny Hill I think! )
Due to the current Covid restrictions only Jorgie was permitted to sit inside.

As for us, Christmas has been fairly normal and I’m very pleased to say the small turkey thawed out in time for JD to produce a delicious dinner.
