Ice Ice Baby.....

Our son’s Christmas jumper yesterday sported the words in the blip title.
I woke up very early and have been missing them all so much already.
So thankful to have seen them.
Such excitement from the grandchildren when we arrived.
I’ve walked up the garden to replenish the bird feeders, and take the ice out of the three bird baths. I took the photo of the hanging basket which is by the back door, through the thickest one. My fingers were freezing by the time I put it down!
The weather is set to go downhill this afternoon with Storm Bella approaching our shores.
Thankful for a beautiful day to travel yesterday. It made it even more special.
We will be having our Christmas Dinner later today. Yesterday was a lovely help yourself buffet before we all sat at the table.
Our daughter-in-law had gone to a lot of care in setting it all out.
We all sat and watched their church Christmas Livestream which was geared up for the kids.
It was excellent having been pre-recorded.
Today will be a slower day after all the driving and emotions.
One day, somewhere in the future, this will have passed.
Until then we go on in hope, step at a time.
