Irish Christmas :-D
Sam and Siobhan sent this photo yesterday of Isla (R) and Arón (middle) with their little cousin Cerys (L). We had just had a video call with them which was fun. They live in County Antrim, a beautiful place. We haven't seen them for over a year now!
They were about to come to visit us when the first lockdown happened and had to cancel.
You may be able to see a cut and bruise just to the side of Arón's left eye. He slipped and fell on ice on Christmas Eve.
After yesterdays Christmas dinner - at 1 o'clock we couldn't eat another thing yesterday. We had no tea, I just had 2 spoons of yoghurt before I went to bed. Today will be the same I think as we have leftovers. So it will be a very chilled day.
I was reflecting on Christmases past - many, many happy ones, a couple of sad ones and a couple of traumatic ones. Last year we were on our own on the boat, by choice and for various reasons - and it was lovely. This year was not by choice and that makes a difference. We miss our families so much. However Christmas is just a day or two to get through in this strange Covid year and we enjoyed it all the same.
Our Bella lies there snoozing among her cuddly toys as the weather man is saying 'Storm Bella is on its way and will be wild and nasty...'
Have a lovely Boxing Day! :-)X
