Old StoneSteps

Boxing Day. F and I went for a walk along the canal close to my house. There was a very cold, strong wind blowing that ensured that we kept walking! The lead up to Storm Bella perhaps.

The photo is taken at New Marton where there are two old houses by the lock. We always stop and admire these stone steps leading up to a barn door. They’re around 150 years old and worn from the feet of many people over the years. I love the lichen decorations too.

Bubble and squeak and lots of leftovers to eat, it’s always good to have a minimal kitchen day after Christmas Day.
