Jay

Storm Bella was howling around the house last night but it was much calmer this morning with sunshine and just a few showers.  She had scattered bits of my climbing plants around though.

F and I went for a walk on Llanymynech Rocksthis morning and were really pleased to see a pair of jays in the trees.  I've never had much luck with photographing them as they're quite shy and elusive but these were more intent on feeding than spotting us!

Half of the reserve is in Wales which is back in lockdown but luckily there were no border guards to spot us crossing! 

It's been raining for weeks and there's a lot of flooding.  From the top of the rocks there was a good view of the flooded fields in Llanymynech wherethe River Vyrnwy had broken it's banks.  It's usually just the roads and fields that flood there so I hope that the houses will be safe this time.
