Lake Tekapo

Looking towards Mt John.

Amazing view of the Lake when I walked Azzy this morning - but seriously cold. December is almost mid summer here in the Southern Hemisphere but it dropped below freezing overnight and there was frost along the lake edge when we first got up.

The overnight snow dump on the mountains that can be seen in the extra photo explains why!

We had morning tea at the Fairlie Bakery (literally world famous for their pies and cronuts).
