Swans

I thought I'd get a short stroll in going to see the swans - but the ground was sodden and so muddy! My fault - I wasn't dressed correctly.
The swans weren't swimming on their usual canal (top photo) because there were pools of water on the field alongside.  I counted nine swans altogether, paddling in the pools or enjoying the freshly washed grass!
The sun was there, peeking out from behind clouds but overall it was more grey than blue.
Lovely to be out there in the fresh air though.
Martin is out with his brother so I have time to myself for a while.
